who is softserved gentleman?

SoftServed Gentleman is a story about a guy named Dean transitioning through life. Dean started to document his journey the day he "came out" in 2017 to personal family/friends. It was in that moment, he decided to make it public and provide visibility for his "late" transition. This decision was solely due to all the conflicting gatekeeping within our communities and to be the person he needed when he was younger. From that point on he has shared vulnerable aspects of his life to shed a light on the difficulties of transitioning. Dean encourages questions while maintaining a safe place and applauds open communication and dialogue.

why "softserved"?

I mean it's pretty obvious what it means to be a Gentleman. Although we lose sight of it in this day and age, it's important to always be a gentleman to those around you. Manners and being kind are a necessity. But most importantly, remember to be honorable with everything you do. Be true to who you are, and what you stand for.

To be Softserved is to be the truest version of yourself. An individual venturing through this single continuously churned journey of life, even though its cold, you won't break. You will keep going through your path. You don't need to hide behind any exterior because you have slayed enough dragons, It is to be vulnerable, while also being courageous. To understand that being vulnerable isn't a negative trait and to erase gender roles. Its to stand tall to help other people. To be an example of a positive outcome: a hero still standing after war. You play an extremely important role in this life we live in. I love you for who you are, and I need you to be who you are.
